STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
Students receiving a rating of 1+, 1, or 1- at the District Achievement Audition may enter.

ENTRY CARDS
The appropriate state entry card is distributed at the District Achievement Audition. ENTRY CARDS AND FEES MUST BE MAILED TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS. At many District Audition Centers the Audition Chair collects the state entry fee and the entry card the day of the audition and is responsible for mailing the entry cards and the entry fee to the State Achievement Audition Chair. Otherwise, teachers are responsible for mailing the state entry cards to the State Achievement Audition Chair. ONLY ENTRIES ON THE CORRECT ENTRY CARD WILL BE ACCEPTED. Sort entry cards by grade of entrant (K-12).

ENTRY FEE $15.00
The entry fee for each performance entry is $15.00. Checks are to be made payable to OMTA. Entry fees are non-refundable.

REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS
Each entrant must perform the same memorized composition at the state level audition that was performed at the district level audition. Failure to meet this requirement will result in disqualification of the entrant.

SPECIAL AWARDS
The Clarence Burg Achievement Award will be presented to students in grade 12 with participation in the State Achievement Audition all four years in grades 9 through 12.

The OMTA REPERTOIRE AWARD will be presented to students after the performance of a piece from each of the style eras: Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Impressionistic/Contemporary. The four pieces may be played in any order and do not have to be played in consecutive years. The students must receive a II or better at State Achievement Auditions on each piece. At the completion of all four pieces (the fourth one being at the District Level), the teacher will send copies of the 4 critique sheets to the Audition Chair for approval.

AUDITION PARTICIPANTS
All entrants will receive a Certificate of Merit and a written critique of their performance. All awards, certificates, music, etc., must be collected by the students, teachers or other designated person. They cannot be mailed at a later date.
