Solo Division Requirements
- Students receiving a I+, I, or I- rating at the District Achievement Audition will advance to the State Achievement Audition.
- Students will perform the same District Achievement composition at the State Achievement Audition. The audition time slot includes a brief warm-up with a maximum performance time of ten minutes.
Merit Division Requirements
- Students receiving a I+, I, or I- rating and who have completed a theory test as part of the District Achievement Audition will advance to the State Achievement Audition.
- Students receiving a I+ or I at the District Achievement Audition are expected to perform the second composition listed when registered for the District Achievement Audition. The audition time slot includes a brief warm-up with a maximum performance time of ten minutes.
- Students receiving a I- rating at District Achievement Audition will be changed from the Merit Division to the Solo Division and are expected to perform the District composition at the State Achievement Audition.
- Repertoire cannot be changed between the District and State Auditions.
- Once entered, teachers cannot change students from the Merit Division to the Solo Division.
