The Oklahoma Music Teachers Association (OMTA) is a part of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Membership in MTNA is required in order to join OMTA.

Interested in becoming a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM)? Click below for a short informational video created by Davis Dorrough, OMTA IMTF Chair. OMTA will pay 50% of the certification fee for its members to become Nationally Certified.

MTNA gives its member current and important information as well as access to many networking, leadership, mentoring and educational opportunities. Programs are available for students of all ages and levels of ability.

The membership year begins on July 1 and runs through June 30 of the following year. The cost of membership in MTNA, OMTA and all Local Associations is listed on the MTNA website.

Membership in a Local Association is encouraged but not required. Local Associations provide many educational and performance opportunities for all students.
